The Sound System is far removed from a regular DJ set. Heavily influenced by the traditional hand-made style sound systems found in Jamaica and the UK, Tom Uplifter acts as both selector and operator providing positive, uplifting tunes often unreleased in turn creating a unique atmosphere that progresses throughout the night to an almost spiritual vibe.

It is a unique custom-hand-built set up with the use of a traditional pre-amp separating each frequency, in hand creating the unmistakable and hugely powerful reggae sound. Each set of speaker boxes are built for different frequencies; mid range, treble tops and (arguably the most important elements) the bass scoops,  providing soul shaking amounts of bass.

The Uplifter Sound System session brings you positive, heavyweight dub, roots reggae and good vibrations featuring:

• Live vocals from worldwide guest vocalists & MC’s
• Instruments (Live percussion, Trombone, Melodica…)
• UK and international dubplates (unreleased one-off vinyls acquired directly from the producers and studios)
